J's Doctor visit today

She has yet another ear infection really bad in her left ear. He seems to think that her ear infections cause sinus infections which cause congestion which cause her cough. We can't give her the best antibiotic for sinus infections, Augmentin, because we have reason to believe she may be allergic. So, she got her first of 3 Rocephin shots today and we go see the ear, nose, and throat doctor soon to talk about putting tubes in her ears. (Finally!!!)

Dr. Parr could see how one would think she has asthma from how persistant her cough has been but instead it has just been caused by perpetual infections. This is good news because now we have a more definite course of action with a potential end result of a fine, normal, healthy, little girl! That's all we want! :-)

Phamily Photo Phun!

Ok sorry for that blog title, I just had to try it out! I had a great day taking some pics of a really sweet family in their own backyard! Well, sort of- some of them traveled from out of state to be here, but it was still in the backyard! Check here for some pics from today.

More of Lu and Jennifer

So I'm finally finished editing the photos I took of Lu and Jennifer a while back. I just love these two! And congratulations to them as they are in the process of buying a house! Exciting times! Here are a few of my fave with a link to more at the bottom: Jessica Klima Photography Jessica Klima Photography Jessica Klima Photography Jessica Klima Photography Jessica Klima Photography

Pigtails!

Last week, J wore her hair in pigtails for the first time to school. I just love this picture of her on the front porch before we left. My favorite part is her sweet face and excited hands, like "The world is so great!". Hope you are having a great weekend!

It's Raining, It's Pouring!

We are getting so much rain right now! Here are a few pics of our backyard and the park across the street. The little creek at the back of the park is full! I hope it slows down soon!
Here is Julia looking at all the water in the back yard: Here is the river at the back of the park across the street! It is so full!

I just couldn't wait to see....

Jennifer and Lu in the blue..... bonnets! I don't even have them all uploaded yet, I just couldn't wait to take a sneak peek!

It's true, More BLUE!

I got to hang out with an old friend this weekend and photograph her lovely girls! It was great to see them and take some pics in a new location. The weather held out for us and I really like how the colors turned out. We also went to the annual MPR Easter Egg Hunt! It was fun, and J kept stopping to pick up only the suckers since that is what she likes best. She ended up with a few eggs full of smarties, and she really likes those too! We also were surprised to see our Aunt Cindy, Uncle Lee and cousins: John, Ann Marie, and Thomas. It was a fun day hanging out and catching up. Julia has been doing some really funny things lately. I can't think of them all now, but I owe you a post of the good ones. L and I will get together and see what we come up with. Today, I got to take some pics of one of my favorite couples. I am just uploading them now, so you'll have to check back for shots of Lu and Jenn. They will probably be my last bluebonnet shoot as the fields of blue are starting to disappear.

Happy Easter Party Day!

Here are a few pics from today at J's school party. There was chapel, followed by an Easter egg hunt, then snack, then the playground!

Another little sneak peek of some cuties in the patches of blue!

Here is my friend Monica and her brother's family from Sunday in the bluebonnets! This was such a great family and you could tell the cousins always have a blast together! Thanks so much Monica and Natalie for sharing your beautiful families with me! I also got to meet Brittany and her two adorable kiddos! They were just too cute and had the cutest little Aggie and Easter outfits! Then we met up with Kari and her family in another bluebonnet patch by the airport. Hadlee, Everett, and Karson were so cute and loved playing in the flowers. These are all proofs straight from the camera. I will still make some color correction, cropping, and do a little retouching. :) Let me know what you think! I'd also like to say a big THANK YOU to Lindsay for helping me out on the most windy day of the year, helping me by holding a wind-sail of a reflector. Thanks Linds!!!

Sneak peek from yesterday...

Here is a sneak peek from one of the families yesterday:

Bye bye kitties!

We listed our cats on Craigslist for free b/c Juila is allergic. We had someone come by just now and take them to their new home. I am pretty sad! :-( I've had little kitty for 10 years! It'll be the best for all involved though. The family that took them had a cat that died 2 years ago so they have had a cat before and missed having one around. They also live on 54 acres out in the country and the lady stays home all day. I think they will get the attention they deserve with these nice people which will be good. Plus, Julia's skin should clear up and I can keep the house cleaner too! I just know that when Julia wakes up from her nap, she'll be asking about them. That'll be sad and hard to explain that they are gone. The new owners said they would take lots of pictures and send them to me so that is neat.

Here are few pics I took yesterday in preparation of them leaving....

Happy Easter!

Long time-- no posts!

So we have been gone for such a long time! We drove to Chicago (see some pics here), Then I went to G.G.'s to visit and help her with her house. J had fun and stayed in Chicago with Babcia and Dziadek while Uncle Peter was visiting from Poland. (see those pics here! :-) ) Then I came back and took some pics of some sweet families, see here and here. I'll try to post a better update soon. I just wanted to let you all know we are all good and back under the same roof!

That was.....?

Today, my friend called and as soon as I hung up, J said, "That was......?", asking who I talked to! It was so funny, like a parent asking a teenager who was calling! :-) She also ate a half of a cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese for breakfast! Who knew she would like it so much! Today we are off to Mainly Music with some friends. Next week, we are driving to Chicago for the fun of the road trip with my two sisters, J and L. J's uncle Peter is visiting from Krakow so it will be good to see him. J will stay in Chi-town for a bit to have a longer visit and I will go to Lubbock to visit my grandma with my mom. Busy times for us, not to mention, I'm in the process of editing over 3000 images from this weekend, from senior pics, to baby births, to a wedding! I'm busy!

I love this job!

Monday, I had the wonderful opportunity to spend some time with a sweet, sweet family as they welcomed their 2nd child into the world. Here is Brayden with his parents and sister. Congratulations!

Pictures of our daughter!!!

Yay! Check here for some photos of little J. Here is a sneak peek: I also had the wonderful opportunity to photograph a sweet family of 3+1 on the way! Little Brayden will be here tomorrow! Here are a few pics from last weekend, as we walked around campus and enjoyed this nice spring weather!

Fun Senior Photo Session

So, as many of you know, I have been busy with my photography business. This weekend I had the pleasure of spending some time with Elyssa and her brother Nick and sister Molly. Here are a few shots from that sweet family! And if you want to see even more, click here: www.jessicaklimaphotography.com/Elyssa

Busy as a Bee!

I have been so busy lately, taking photos left and right. Here are some of my recent shoots:

Baby Hadlee 7 Months old - Girly Girl!!!
Jamie and Mindy Engagement session 1 - Downtown
Jamie and Mindy Engagement session 2 - At the Park
Plus, I have tons of cute pics of J that I need to share. Like today, she helped me scrub the crayon off of the kitchen floor and then I painted her nails for the first time and she kept asking, "Do I look nice?". She is a little sweetie!

I also got some of the coolest business cards in the mail. I'll have to share some pics of those as well.

We all enjoyed L's mom's visit over the past week. She kept us full of good cooking! We look forward to seeing her again soon!

More updates to come! Happy weekend everybody!

P is also for...

POOP!!! Today J pooped in her potty for the first time. She was just so excited and said, "I did it! Wanna do it again?!?!?!". It was so cute. Here she is a few weeks ago but I just love this picture. Have a great weekend!

J had her school party today for Valentine's Day! It looks like the Valentine's aisle exploded on our counter top this afternoon when we came home. Here are a few pics from today:

Peanut positive

This is what J's skin test looked like. She is allergic to peanuts! The purple mark is the letter "P" for peanut to show where he pricked her with the peanut extract. We will see how it goes and we are getting her epi-pen prescription filled as we speak.

Git Along Lil' Doggie.... er... ummm... Cow?

Last week J's school celebrated "Western Week". They had snacks like smores, trail mix, beef jerky, and beans, yum! I volunteered to take photos of all the classes on the cute little display they put together. I ended up with almost 100 kiddos photos! I'm working on editing them now and they are turning out so cute! Here are a few of J in her favorite jacket, her "Cow Jacket". She also wore it to school this week, evidently she likes being stared at on the playground and addressed as "Moo! Moo!" by all the kids. (The teachers informed me this was what went down on the playground that day.) Here she is, a "cow" riding a "horse". Now you've seen everything!

T-R-O-U-B-L-E

This weekend, we went to visit Aunt Emily and Uncle Vance to celebrate their new house. J got to spend some time at my parent's house too (where this photo was snapped). We all had a good weekend despite a scare of J breaking out in hives on Saturday night. Some benadryl helped to clear it up and we have an appointment with an allergist coming up. So we will see! I am just hoping it is not peanut allergies or antibiotic allergies. We will keep you updated. Hope you all had a good weekend. -J

Jingle January

Today on the way back from the park, L asked J what she wanted for dinner and she said, "I could eat some spaghetti." And L laughed and repeated what she said and she replied, "I could." Very nonchalantly the whole time. Too Funny! Speaking of, J's class sang Jingle Bells at the Christmas Program and she is just now singing it all the time around the house, especially when she has the little silk boquet she carried in Aunt E's wedding. See here, password is "silly":

More Holiday Photos

As promised, here are more photos from the holidays. Some are redundant, but enjoy! Also, just some recent things: J loves to point out our shadows on the wall when we are changing her. I started making a rabbit shadow and then showed her how, so now she makes one too! So cute. She can also count to 10 with very little prompting and knows the ABC song, although, some of the letters in her version sound a little off. She is really enjoying Kindermusik and sang "Bom bom" by repeating the teacher in front of class today. She loves to dance to any music! If you are eating something she wants, she says, "I want a bite of that!" At least she doesn't beat around the bush!

Tea anyone???

Today, J and I went to a little tea room in Temple with Hillary, Mom, and two of her friends and their moms. It was good catching up time and I had fun snapping their goofy and cute pictures. They have got to be some of the most photographed girls in the world!

A few holiday photos

Here are a few holiday photos taken around Christmas. The first 2 are of J eating her first ice cream cone and throughly enjoying it! :) The next couple are from her holiday program at her preschool. Then comes our Christmas time spent at my parent's house in Belton with G.G. visiting from Lubbock! Enjoy! I have more to come, it's just taking me some time to wade through them all.

Family Time

Today we had the pleasure of visiting with Anna, Paul and Elizabeth! Anna is Luke's cousin. She lives in Chicago with her husband Paul and daughter Elizabeth, born about 2 months after Julia. We had a great lunch prepared by Babcia Marilla of goulash, potatoes, salads, rice, homemade bread, and apple cake for dessert. It was all soooo good. Then we watched as J and Elizabeth played with blocks, dolls, piano, and lots of books. We also "Skyped" with relatives in Poland to extend the family reunion. Then they had a great time chasing each other back and forth from one end of the house to the other. They *did* finally take a little time to sit in the big chair together and even held hands. After this, J really wanted to hold Elizabeth's hand all the time! It was an eventful afternoon to say the least. Here are the pictures from the afternoon:

Happy New Year!

As 2008 is but a fond memory, I am thankful that we had the opportunity to live in Poland and spend time with family there. I am also thankful for a safe return back to Texas and for the wonderful Mexican food there. :-) We are also glad we got to spend two wonderful holidays with my dad's family including 2 of my uncles and their families. So much good food! I am also thankful for our good friends, especially our roommates at the moment, as I feel so blessed to have gotten to know them better through this serendipitous opportunity. I also am looking forward to 2009, friend's babies being born (NOT MINE!), weddings, girls trips, family trips, international trips, January parties in East Texas, photographing more families' life moments, watching (and potty training) J as she grows up so quickly. So long 2008, it's been great! Bring it on, 2009. I'm as ready as I'm going to be!

Fourth in Fourth

So I was tagged 4th in 4th which means you go to the place on your computer where you store all your pictures and open the 4th folder then open the 4th picture. Post the picture and give an explanation of what it is. Then tag 4 people.
(Don't edit or crop the picture! We want reality here!)

Here is a picture of J throwing up gang signs/peace signs behind her sippy cup just the other day as we were visiting my parents in Belton for Christmas.

(I couldn't use my computer because we had to send it to apple to be fixed again, the display/video card is out. :(  )

And now I tag:

On the bus again

Here is J riding the bus after a long day at the zoo.

Zoo

Today, we are in Chicago at the zoo! We stopped for lunch after
underwater viewing the sealions as they swam. J really enjoyed
watching them swim by. We can't wait to see what is next!

Faces

I couldn't just post pictures of food, I had to post some of J making all the funny faces she did today. She is really developing her little personality and attitude. Enjoy these:

Christmas Vittles

So we post-poned our trip to Chicago until after the holidays and we are hoping for a little warmer weather. Today it was below zero degrees F and that is just too cold! We will get to stay for almost 3 times as long and enjoy New Year's Eve in a big city. Since we will be traveling straight to where we are spending Christmas, I was able to help prepare some food so that is what I did today while L entertained J, and more often than not, J entertained L! Here are a few of the things I made today: Will post again soon I hope. If not, then Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! -J

Pizza?

Earlier today, J and I were finishing our dinner, when the doorbell rang. It was a UPS delivery person who had left a package on our doorstep and rang the bell.
I picked her up and we went to the door. I moved the package inside, and J said, in a very excited voice: "PIZZA!" We don't really order pizza very often (less than once a month, I would say... 3 times max in her lifetime) I haven't opened the box yet, so maybe she was right.

After 2 hours in the mall..

This is what my car looked like!

Snow?

We woke to snow this morning lightly covering the ground. I took a picture just as some kids waiting for the bus were throwing snowballs at each other. Kids these days! Weather these days! It was 78 degrees yesterday!!! Here is a shot from our backyard:Photobucket

MMMMmmmmMMMM, breadsticks...

We are having lunch today at Olive Garden and J really loves the
breadsticks!

Sweet new hat

Here is a quick pic of J in her new hat that we got in the mail yesterday from Grandmom. Too adorable!

Not so subliminal message?

So we were watching t.v. last night when L noticed that there was an interesting statement in the closed captioning (we have to turn it on so when J is being loud, we can still know what is going on). Here is what we saw.(Please pardon Little Kitty's tail at the top of the screen). If you are interested in the technical details of this, the closed captioning is leftover from the previous commercial (for Samuel Adams Beer).

Happy Festivus!

So I missed out on telling you all Happy Thanksgiving, but now that I've recently re-decorated my blog, I'll go ahead and wish you all a Merry Christmas!!! I've been really busy with my new business and website www.jessicaklimaphotography.com . I've had tons of fun photographing family and friends and new friends too! We had a great Thanksgiving with my Dad's family. J had tons of fun playing with my cousins and sisters. I have a ton of pictures that I haven't been able to look through yet, but they are coming soon. Last night, L and I attended the Mays Business School Holiday Party at the Miramont Country Club. It was a nice big reception with fancy food and lots of hand shakes. It was nice to talk to the people I could have been working with and exchange crazy kids stories about how we are weird parents that teach our kids that certain body parts make certain noises. Apparently, J won't be the only one pressing something to elicit a certain sound. She may have a peer that runs up and places his palm on her nose, hoping to hear a "honk". I only hope that she doesn't reciprocate, and lift his shirt, pressing his belly button with a jolly, "Ging-Gong!". Hope you all had a great holiday and hope you have many more to come!
